Data is the new oil
In the past it was oil that was a vast untapped asset. Today we say the same about data, but are you someone who understands this?
Would you take pride in making this valuable resource available in a secure, trustworthy and reliable way? Do you already have experience of platform management and would like to move into the data world? We would like you to take responsibility for operating and evolving the strategic data platform for the highly successful Atlas Copco CTS organization?
You will be joining the existing data team and will help to lead the way as we adopt a new cloud architecture and seek to utilize all the benefits and opportunities this will bring. We are a fast evolving team that is investing in new technologies and cutting edge paradigms giving you will have the opportunity to influence the data management strategy of a large and successful organization.
As well as influencing strategy you will take responsibility for operating the platform and maintaining the qualitative experience our consumers have come to expect. You will own the processes and the governance needed to achieve this, as well as being able to provide appropriate transparency. You will collaborate across various levels and be able to take ownership of projects aimed at improving the platform and you should be comfortable with presenting and defending your proposals with senior management.
We are looking for a professional and responsible person with a mature outlook, you should be able to work independently and be able to lead teams to help solve complex challenges. Do you have a critical mindset and a willingness to challenge orthodoxy? Are you someone who likes to keep abreast of industry developments and develop innovative new approaches?
Ideally you should have proven experience of platform management and be able to deliver value from the onset. Any knowledge of data engineering concepts would be beneficial such as SQL, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling and ETL as would experience with Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure. Awareness of more abstract data concepts such as Data Virtualisation, Data Fabric and Data Mesh would be a bonus.
